【讲座人简介】
Professor Nachiappan (Nachi) Subramanian is Professor of Operations and Logistics Management & Supply Chains at the Science Policy Research Unit, University of Sussex Business School, University of Sussex, United Kingdom. Professor Subramanian has internationally recognised research contributions in sustainable supply chains, industrial and supply chain resilience, digital transformation and blockchain applications, supply chain performance evaluation, and innovation analytics. As of the end of 2025, he has published over 120 peer-reviewed journal articles, with more than 16,000 citations and an h-index of 61. He has led or participated in major research projects funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering, the British Council, Innovate UK, and European research bodies.

This lecture explores how AI and inclusive strategies can transform supply chains, shifting the focus beyond efficiency toward fairness, transparency, and equity. It examines the hidden cost pressures, ethical challenges, and systemic imbalances that often disadvantage SMEs and local producers—particularly in resource-rich yet economically vulnerable regions such as Africa.
The discussion will cover the role of inclusive policies, local value addition, and initiatives like the UK’s Levelling Up agenda in promoting sustainable and equitable growth. Participants will gain actionable insights and global best practices for building resilient, ethical, and inclusive supply chains.
